HRH Rajwa’s Henna (Full Design and Management)

Client: Royal Hashemite Court
Location: Amman, Jordan

  • The Brief
Design and manage a Henna event celebrating the marriage of HRH Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa, with 500 women invitees from across Jordan. The event should incorporate both Jordanian and Saudi Arabian cultural elements, featuring authentic Jordanian customs and music in a warm, relaxed, and casual atmosphere.
  • Design Inspiration & Execution
The concept drew from the shared Bedouin nomadic culture of Jordan and Saudi Arabia, reimagining the traditional Bedouin tent into a modern festive space. We integrated raw Jordanian cultural elements, flora, and terrain with a contemporary twist, creating a striking contrast. Bedouin patterns were abstracted and enlarged throughout the venue, while the use of ropes symbolized textile threads on a larger scale for a modern touch.Traditional accessories were given a fresh take, while entertainment was infused with a blend of famous henna songs, modernized folkloric dance, and live music from a folkloric orchestra with modern instruments. This fusion of contemporary and traditional elements created a heartfelt, unique Henna celebration for guests to enjoy.
  • Results
The HRH Rajwa’s Henna event was a resounding success, allowing guests to experience a heartfelt and unique celebration. The thoughtful integration of Jordanian and Saudi Arabian traditions, alongside contemporary design elements, created an enchanting atmosphere that captivated all attendees.
